Begin by combining equal parts honey and water in your saucepan.
Heat the mixture over low to medium heat, stirring until the honey completely dissolves. It should be fully dissolved well before simmering, it is best for honey simple syrup to just get it hot enough to dissolve and then take it off of the heat right away.
Let cool to room temperature before transferring to a container for storing.
You can store honey simple syrup in the fridge for at least a month up to 6 weeks.
