Ingredients
- Vodka - Preferably of good quality, it doesn't need to be top shelf but don't choose anything too cheap or your infusion will taste bad. I like to use Tito's.
- Dried Lavender Buds - Ensuring they are culinary grade, if you happen to have food grade fresh lavender you can use it instead of dried lavender.
- Optional: Butterfly Pea Flowers - Mostly to bring a natural color to the infusion but it does also slightly enhance the flavor. Butterfly Pea Flower is that magical flower that has a bright blue color that changes to a purple/magenta when acid (lemon juice) is added making it a very fun food to have in the kitchen. If you decide to get some butterfly pea flowers they are so fun to 'play' with make a tea and freeze for color changing ice cubes! I always order mine from 27 Teas.
Instructions
Preparation: In your chosen jar, combine the cup of vodka and dried lavender buds. If you opt for the butterfly pea flowers, add them at this stage or in 3 days for an extra visual and flavor dimension.
Infusion: Seal the jar tightly and give it a good shake to ensure thorough mixing. Then, find a cool, dark spot to let the magic happen. Allow the mixture to infuse for 3 to 4 days, shaking the jar occasionally to encourage flavor distribution.
Enhancing Color: If you want to include butterfly pea flowers, add them on day 3 to infuse a captivating blueish-purple hue into your vodka. Let the mixture rest overnight to achieve optimal color extraction.
Straining: On day 4, it's time to unveil your creation. Using a cheesecloth Affiliate Link-lined wire mesh strainer, carefully strain the infused vodka into a clean container, removing any solids to ensure a smooth finish.
Storage: Transfer the lavender infused vodka into an airtight container to maintain its freshness and flavor. Stored properly in a cool dark place, it can last for months, though it's likely to disappear much sooner once you start mixing cocktails!

Notes
If you are choosing to use the butterfly pea flowers you can also add them in on day one with the lavender just note that the flavor infused if you add the floweres on day one will be stronger than if you add them on day three. (Not saying it is bad I tested them together for four days and it turned out really good but just note that there will be a slight flavor from the butterfly pea flowers but it does not overpower the lavender.)
Only use culinary grade lavender!!
Double or triple the recipe as you see fit.
