Lavender Lemon Drop Martini Recipe
I am a huge fan of floral flavors and this lavender cocktail is no exception. Lemon and lavender go together like peanut butter and jelly, perfectly harmonized flavors.
This particular cocktail uses lavender infused vodka which is both easy to make or easy to buy. Mixed with a little sweetener and fresh lemon juice makes an easy elegant beverage!

Ingredients
- Lavender-Infused Vodka - If you don't already have the Lavender Vodka I recommend checking out my recipe for Lavender Infused Vodka, in this post I discuss how to the beautiful color naturally using butterfly pea flowers, of course you can leave it natural colored too, in this case your drink will be yellow in color and not a lavender color. And as always if you bought some at a store use that!
- Lemon - You will want fresh squeezed lemon juice but also a lemon for getting the rim to stick to the glass.
- Simple Syrup - A regular simple syrup since the vodka has the infused flavor, although if you have lavender simple syrup feel free to use it.
- For Garnish: Lavender Buds, Granulated Sugar - For the most wonderful sugar rim you will be grinding lavender buds with sugar with make a fragrant rim.

Instructions
Prepare Garnish: Begin by creating a delightful lavender sugar rim for your martini glass. In a mortar and pestle or small blender, combine lavender buds and granulated sugar. Grind together until you achieve a fine, fragrant mixture.
Rim the Glass: Take a lemon wedge or used lemon half and run it along the edge of the martini glass, moistening the rim with lemon juice. Carefully dip the moistened rim into the lavender sugar mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated. Set aside to dry slightly while you prepare the cocktail.
Mix the Cocktail: Now, let's mix up the star of the show. In a cocktail shaker, combine lavender-infused vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup. Add a generous handful of ice to the shaker, close it tightly, and shake vigorously until the mixture is well chilled, approximately 10 to 20 seconds.
Strain and Serve: Once your cocktail is chilled to perfection, strain it into the prepared martini glass with the lavender sugar rim. The aromatic blend of lavender and lemon will tantalize your senses as you pour.

Absolutely! Store-bought lavender-infused vodka offers convenience, but if you're feeling adventurous, you can easily infuse your own vodka by steeping dried culinary lavender buds.
What can I use instead of simple syrup?
If you don't have simple syrup on hand, honey syrup or agave syrup can be used as substitutes. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste preferences.
How do I store leftover lavender sugar?
Any remaining lavender sugar can be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Use it to garnish other cocktails or desserts for an extra touch of floral sweetness.
How do I get the cocktail that pretty purple color?
Lavender by itself unfortunately doesn't infuse that beautiful purple color, the infusion of dried lavender actually turns out to be a light yellow color. In order for this drink to achieve that beautiful color I use Butterfly Pea Flowers in the infusion.
Can I make this in a big batch?
Yes, to serve 8 drinks mix together in a large pitcher 2 cups (16 ounces) lavender infused vodka, 1 ½ cups (12 ounces) fresh lemon juice, and 1 cup (8 ounces) simple syrup. Since you won't be able to give it a good shake you will want to make sure you add ice for it to dilute and chill before serving.

- To rim the glass take a lemon wedge or used lemon half and trace the edge of the glass with the lemon juice all the way around the edge. Carefully dip the edge with the lemon juice into the lavender sugar rim. Set aside to dry slightly while you make the cocktail.
- Add the lavender infused vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Close and shake until well chilled 10 to 20 seconds. Strain into the glass with the lavender sugar rim. Enjoy.
