Ingredients
Now, let's explore the vibrant and simple ingredients that will make your Christmas Infused Water a visual and flavorful delight. Chances are you might already have most of them at home:
- Orange - A Navel orange is what I have been using but feel free to switch it up with similar citrus like a mandarin orange or tangerine.
- Apple - Whatever variety you like. The variety you will use will have some effect on the flavor, let's say a super sweet Honeycrisp versus a Granny Smith.
- Cranberries - While I use fresh cranberries since they are in season you can use frozen cranberries.
- Cinnamon - A stick of cinnamon, you will want to make sure you use a stick and not ground cinnamon. For two reasons, first you don't want your spa water getting grainy from the ground cinnamon and second by Ising a stick you can remove the cinnamon if it starts to get too overpowering in the water.
- Water - Maybe this is obvious but you can adjust based on the desired strength.
These ingredients come together to create a festive fusion of flavors that will dazzle your taste buds!

Instructions
Wash and Prepare the Fruits: Ensure your fruits are clean and ready for slicing.
Slice the Orange and Apple: Cut the orange and apple into thin rounds or wedges and half the cranberries, releasing their natural juices.
Add Ingredients to the Pitcher: Place the sliced fruits, cranberries, and the cinnamon stick into the large pitcher.
Pour Water into the Pitcher: Fill the pitcher with 8-12 cups of water, adjusting the quantity based on your desired flavor intensity and the size of your pitcher.
Refrigerate for Flavor Infusion: Allow the mixture to chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or, for a more robust flavor, leave it overnight. Make sure you taste after a few hours to see if the cinnamon flavor is t your liking, if you think the cinnamon is getting to overpowering remove the cinnamon stick.
Serve Cold or Over Ice: When ready to enjoy, serve the Christmas Infused Water over ice in individual glasses, letting the festive flavors unfold with every sip.

Tips, Tricks and Questions
Variations
- Swap out the cinnamon for fresh mint
- Swap out the cinnamon for fresh rosemary
- Feel free to experiment with alternative fruits like pomegranate seeds or spices like cloves for a unique twist.
- For a party make Sugared Cranberries as garnishes for the Christmas Water!
Can I reuse the fruit and cinnamon to make a second batch?
Yes, you can reuse the fruit for a second batch, although the flavors may be slightly milder.
Storage
Store the infused water in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days for optimal freshness. If you are keeping the water longer than 24 hours I suggest straining the fruits and cinnamon out at about 24 hours so that they don't start to get mushy in the water (although most of these fruits are pretty hardy and likely to last longer than others).
Can I make this in advance?
Absolutely! Prepare this holiday water infusion in advance for your holiday gathering. I suggest getting it prepped and in the fridge the night before.
What to do with fruit after infusing water?
For the apples and oranges in this recipe eat it!
