Mint Blackberry Mojito Mocktail Recipe
Based on the famous Cuban white rum cocktail this is a flavorful and healthy non-alcoholic version.
A classic mojito typically is made with white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. For this mocktail we are trading out the rum and sugar for non alcoholic and more wholesome ingredients. We are also flavoring this version with blackberries, which trust me is incredible.
This virgin version of a blackberry mojito recipe starts with a refreshing twist muddling blackberries with the mint. Lime juice is added along with coconut water and apple cider vinegar. Everything is shaken together with ice until cold. It is then strained and topped off with a flavored seltzer or club soda. Topped with a garnish of fresh mint and a blackberry or two.
My son put it best when he described this as the perfect drink for a hot summer day. As much as it is a totally a refreshing summer cocktail it is equally as good year round.
I had the chance of getting to demo and make this drink for a mocktail class and this happened to be one of the favorite drinks and a huge hit so I am very excited to share this delicious drink on the blog.

Ingredients
- Fresh Blackberries - The more fresh the better tasting.
- Mint Leaves - The more fresh the better!
- Coconut Water - Use plain and unsweetened coconut water, using the coconut water helps fill out the drink all while adding a health component to the drink.
- Apple Cider Vinegar - In my opinion one of the best substitutes for the zip of alcohol. Adding vinegar sounds crazy but trust me don't skip it, it adds the zip that alcohol usually provides, and don't worry the vinegar flavor doesn't overpower the drink.
- Fresh Lime - For fresh lime juice, try to avoid the bottled lime juice if possible.
- Blackberry or Lime Flavored Seltzer - You can use good old soda water here too.
Instructions
Start by adding the fresh blackberries to the bottom of your cocktail shaker. Use the muddler to crush the blackberries thoroughly, releasing their juicy goodness into the mix.

Next, add the mint leaves to the shaker and give them a gentle muddle to release their aromatic oils.

Pour in the coconut water, apple cider vinegar, and lime juice into the shaker.
Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker, close the lid tightly, and shake the mixture vigorously until well chilled.

Using a strainer, carefully pour the mixture into an ice-filled glass, ensuring you leave behind any fruit or herb solids for a smooth sip. A hawthorne strainer Affiliate Link works best for this step if you have one.
Note if you want to include the crushed blackberries into the drink feel free to, just note you will have blackberry seeds in your drink, but you also have a snack.
Now, top off your Blackberry Mojito Mocktail with blackberry or lime seltzer for a bubbly finish that adds a layer of effervescence to your drink.
Garnish your mocktail with a fresh blackberry and a sprigs of mint to elevate its presentation.
