Instructions
Prepare the Glass: Start by adding ice to your glass of choice. The ice helps keep the drink chilled and adds a refreshing touch.
Pour the Prosecco: Gently pour in 4 ounces of Prosecco. Pouring it first helps to preserve the bubbles when you add the other ingredients.
Add Syrup and Liqueur: Measure and add 1 ounce of hibiscus simple syrup and ½ ounce of elderflower liqueur to the glass.

The Hibiscus Spritz is a vibrant, floral cocktail made with hibiscus syrup, elderflower liqueur, and Prosecco, garnished with a fresh orange slice for a refreshing and elegant drink.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce hibiscus simple syrup
- ½ ounce elderflower liqueur
- 4 ounces Prosecco
- Fresh orange slice for garnish
Instructions
- Add ice and the prosecco to a glass.
- Add in the hibiscus simple syrup and elderflower liqueur. Stir gently to mix slightly (not too much to stir out the bubbles). Garnish with an orange slice. Enjoy!
Hibiscus Simple Syrup
- Combine the water and cup of sugar in a small pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat whisking as the mixture heats up so the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Once boiling remove the pot from the heat and stir in the dried hibiscus flowers. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the hibiscus flowers out and the hibiscus simple syrup into a clean jar.
- Once at room temperature store the hibiscus simple syrup in a closed jar in the refrigerator. Should keep for 4 to 6 weeks. Great in cocktails, mocktails, and in seltzer/soda water.
Notes
While I prefer using dried hibiscus flowers that I buy in bulk you can use hibiscus tea bags, use 3 or 4 tea bags in place of the dried flowers and discard tea bag after steeping.
